A temporary pause

Thank you for giving this a trial run

Smart Baby Tracker is a not-for-profit project — made purely for the honest goodwill and benefit of other parents. Development is paused for now, and will resume when the developer has authorisation from his employer to continue.

If you already have the app installed, please keep using it. Your logs, partner sync, and the quiet tools you rely on still work, and you’re welcome to keep benefiting from them.

Advice

Growth checks without spiralling

A single weigh-in is a moment. Trends and your care team matter more than any app graph.

2 min read ·

General parent support only — not a diagnosis or treatment plan. For medical worries, contact your midwife, health visitor, GP, NHS 111, or emergency services.

Skim: one weigh-in ≠ a story · trends with your care team · charts are context

One number is a snapshot

Weight fluctuates with feeds, nappies, and time of day. Your midwife or health visitor looks at the curve over time — so should you.

Use charts as quiet context

In-app growth views are for calm trend-watching, not midnight panic. If a point worries you, ask a clinician who can see your baby, not only the line.

Celebrate non-scale wins

Alertness, wet nappies, and settling into a rhythm matter day to day. Log what helps you notice those — and leave diagnosis to people trained for it.

UK care, quickly

  • Midwife / health visitor — feeding, weight, jaundice, early-weeks worries
  • GP — ongoing illness, rashes you’re unsure about, medicines advice
  • NHS 111 — urgent advice when you don’t know how serious it is
  • 999 / A&E — emergency symptoms or if your baby seems seriously unwell
