A temporary pause

Thank you for giving this a trial run

Smart Baby Tracker is a not-for-profit project — made purely for the honest goodwill and benefit of other parents. Development is paused for now, and will resume when the developer has authorisation from his employer to continue.

If you already have the app installed, please keep using it. Your logs, partner sync, and the quiet tools you rely on still work, and you’re welcome to keep benefiting from them.

Advice

Pumping and bottles, calmly

Bottle and pump logs are tools for hand-offs — not a scorecard for how “well” feeding is going.

2 min read ·

General parent support only — not a diagnosis or treatment plan. For medical worries, contact your midwife, health visitor, GP, NHS 111, or emergency services.

Skim: log for hand-offs · amounts are optional · partners need “what’s ready,” not perfection

Log what the next person needs

Time, roughly how much, and milk type is usually enough. Skip fields that slow you down when the bottle is already warming.

Pumping isn’t a productivity contest

Sessions vary by time of day, stress, and how recently baby fed. Use the log to remember when you last pumped — not to grade yourself.

Share the fridge reality

If a partner handles nights, a clear last bottle and what’s left labelled in the fridge beats a long chat at shift change.

UK care, quickly

  • Midwife / health visitor — feeding, weight, jaundice, early-weeks worries
  • GP — ongoing illness, rashes you’re unsure about, medicines advice
  • NHS 111 — urgent advice when you don’t know how serious it is
  • 999 / A&E — emergency symptoms or if your baby seems seriously unwell
