A temporary pause

Thank you for giving this a trial run

Smart Baby Tracker is a not-for-profit project — made purely for the honest goodwill and benefit of other parents. Development is paused for now, and will resume when the developer has authorisation from his employer to continue.

If you already have the app installed, please keep using it. Your logs, partner sync, and the quiet tools you rely on still work, and you’re welcome to keep benefiting from them.

Advice

When to ask for help

Apps support memory. Midwives, health visitors, GPs, and NHS 111 support judgement when something feels off.

2 min read ·

General parent support only — not a diagnosis or treatment plan. For medical worries, contact your midwife, health visitor, GP, NHS 111, or emergency services.

Skim: trust your instinct · logs support memory · clinicians decide care

Trust the “this doesn’t feel right” signal

Parents often know before they can explain. If you’re worried about breathing, colour, responsiveness, feeding refusal, or fever, seek care — don’t wait for an app chart to confirm it.

What a log is good for

Times of feeds, sleeps, medicines, and temperatures help you brief a midwife, health visitor, or GP quickly. Bring the pattern; let them interpret it.

When in doubt, ask a person

Midwife and health visitor for early weeks; GP for ongoing illness; NHS 111 when you’re unsure how urgent it is; 999 or A&E for emergencies.

UK care, quickly

  • Midwife / health visitor — feeding, weight, jaundice, early-weeks worries
  • GP — ongoing illness, rashes you’re unsure about, medicines advice
  • NHS 111 — urgent advice when you don’t know how serious it is
  • 999 / A&E — emergency symptoms or if your baby seems seriously unwell
